Did you know that all EU residents can vote at the next municipal elections on the 15th March 2020?
Registering can easily be done either at the town hall or online following these (the?) simple steps below:
On the internet:
Registration is possible online on the French public service website. Please note that it requires that you create an account. Once your account has been set up, a simple form has to be filled in with your contact details, information on previous registration on electoral rolls etc. You will then be required to upload:
- A copy of your national ID card or passport.
- A copy of a proof of residency such as a utility bill (electricity, phone, etc.), a rent receipt or a payslip clearly showing your name and address and dated less than 3 months.
Physically at the town hall:
The following documents are required:
- The completed official request form, usually available at the town hall. An annotated electronic version can also be found here on our website : https://demainpibrac2020.fr/2019/10/29/official-cerfa-form-register-on-electoral-roll/
- A national ID card or passport.
- A proof of residency such as a utility bill (electricity, phone, etc.), a rent receipt or a payslip clearly showing your name and address and dated less than 3 months.
By post:

After Brexit, 31 Jan 2020?, UK citizens will not be allowed to vote anymore. Sad for them, sad for us..

This is unfortunately correct. However, there are 27 other EU countries, and many of which have citizens living in Pibrac. This message therefore also applies to all Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Polish etc residents living in our town.
